Received from Alex Macdonell Esquire Deputy Paymaster General of Militia, by the hands of Mr. Robert Richardson Paymaster of militia at Kingston the sum of three pounds, fourteen shillings and five pence half penny army being my net pay as a Lieutenant from the 28th August to this date, on duty escorting American prisoners of war from the District of Newcastle to Kingston for which I have signed triplicate receipts.
