Received from Alexander Macdonell Esquire, Deputy Paymaster General of Militia by the hand of Mr. Robert Richardson Paymaster of militia at Kingston the sum of three pounds and eight pence army being my net pay as an Ensign from the 28th August to this date on duty escorting American prisoners of war from the District of Newcastle to Kingston for which I have signed triplicate receipts
